In a city like New York, it can be easy to get caught up in our own stories, pouring our energy into work, family and personal growth. As followers of Jesus, we are learning to step out of our individual lives to connect with others in meaningful relationships that overflow into tangible love and service to our communities. We connect through regular parish rhythms of seasonal groups and events as well as through acts of service and renewal for our neighborhood.
Our Online Community
Join our online community on Facebook and Google Groups to meet others within the church, share prayer requests, and address practical physical needs.
We encourage you to treat this like an online community bulletin board.
Covenant gives form to a relationship rather than creating it. If you have been attending for 6 months or more and wish to express a deeper commitment to being formed in the way of Jesus in the context of our church, then consider becoming a covenant member.
For us, membership is not about belonging. Everyone belongs. It is more like a new, urban monastic order. An order is a community that seeks to live by common practices
Covenant membership is a year-long, voluntary commitment, renewable each year, expressed in the areas of theology, ethics, practices and authority. The process for becoming a covenant member is simple:
1. Attend the Covenant Seminar.
The Seminar takes place after worship services on 4 Sundays each year. At this seminar you'll be introduced to each area (theology, ethics, practices and authority) and the commitments expected. We ask that those attending the Seminar have previously attended our Intro to TGC class and have been attending for at least 6 months.
Our 2017 Seminar Dates are:
May 21st, September 17th, and December 10th
RSVP to Jeremy [at] trinitygracechurch.com if you plan to attend.
2. Signed Covenants and Inductions
After the Seminar, those making this 1 year commitment can sign the covenant and turn it in to our pastoral staff by emailing Jeremy Varner. New members are inducted at the first covenant member meeting following the signing of the covenant.
