Houston Volunteer Opportunities

The devastation in Houston is some of the worst we've seen from a natural disaster in years. Many of us still remember the effects of Sandy on the communities here in NYC, especially in lower Manhattan, and know what it is like firsthand to recover from a major event like Hurricane Harvey. Now that the flood waters are slowly starting to recede in the outh, there is a long road to recovery. Even though we are halfway across the country, there are many impactful things we can do to help our neighbors to the south who have been affected by Harvey.

There are many supplies and tangible items that we can provide that can be purchased here and sent to Texas. Two tangible items, other than monetary donations, that are needed immediately are fans and dehumidifiers. If this is something you can help provide email Jeremy here and we can help coordinate getting these supplies to the churches in Houston who can distribute them.

Another thing needed in the weeks to come are people on the ground helping with families who have been affected. If you feel called to volunteer your time and want to help with relief efforts in Houston, we have churches who can provide housing and some meals. You would be responsible for transportation to and from Houston.

If this is something you feel called to do, fill out the form below and we will contact you with further details.
